On this learning journey, get a glimpse of Singapore Food Agency (SFA)’s National Centre for Food Science (NCFS) laboratories and how SFA scientists manage threats to food safety.
NCFS is the national reference laboratory for food science. It plays a crucial role in upholding food safety by providing scientific expertise and performing in-depth applied research, risk assessment studies, data analytics, and food diagnostic.
It also provides testing services to support the investigation of foodborne disease outbreaks, and constantly strives to further develop advanced laboratory capabilities to counter threats from emerging hazards.
During this tour, participants will be able to view some of the NCFS facilities used by SFA’s scientists, and come away with a better understanding of how it upholds the food safety in Singapore.
