The mudflats might look dull at first glance, but they are actually full of life. Masters of disguise, its inhabitants blend in with their surroundings, and it often takes patience and a keen pair of eyes to spot them. Not only do these organisms help to maintain the health of the mud, they are also an important source of food for animals.
